The multinational banking and financial services group ANZ wanted to reinvent the typical call centre environment by creating a space centred around the staff. The interior designers, Hot Black, were tasked with creating a workplace that enabled flexibility, encouraged collaboration, and instilled pride within the teams.

The space was significant, 14,500 sqm, split across four floors and required to accommodate approximately 1400 staff.

The overarching concept narrative was a 'connected landscape'. The signage and graphics were inspired by native Australian flora, creating a visible link between the floors and departments and acting as a unifying component throughout the space. Furthermore, they provided the energising and playful aspects of the interiors that were required.

The result was a fresh and engaging workplace for one of ANZ's key Melbourne locations.
